Welcome to St. Stephens High School!
We are equipping our students for a bright future.
St. Stephens High School is located in the northeast corner of Catawba County. The original St. Stephens High School was formed in 1934 and moved into the current building in 1964. Today, St. Stephens High School serves a vibrantly diverse community. In the 2019-2020 school year, there were students representing 27 different countries around the world!
Our school prepares our students by setting high expectations for academic, personal, social, and emotional growth to ensure that our students graduate ready for higher education, the military or a career. Whether students are at a desk, in a lab, on the field, or on a stage, St. Stephens prepares them not only with the knowledge to face the next step in life but the confidence to pursue their dreams.

Accountability is Important
We strive for academic excellence, which is why we take the grade we receive on our NC School Report Card (an annual statewide measure of school performance) seriously. In addition, we submit our School Improvement Plan for review and approval as required by state regulations, and our team revises that plan’s goals and strategies regularly. The Health & Safety of our Staff & Students is a Top Priority
